Jeffrey McManus
Jeffrey McManus supports efforts to engage Congress and the White House in NRDC’s work to defend and expand critical environmental laws and policies. Prior to his current role, he served as outreach director for the University of Delaware’s Special Initiative on Offshore Wind. There he helped bridge knowledge between state governments, the federal government, and the global offshore wind industry, in order to foster understanding and drive deployment of offshore wind energy. Prior to the Special Initiative on Offshore Wind, he served as outreach manager for Atlantic Grid Development, where he managed federal and state engagement to advance the Google-backed Atlantic Wind Connection project—a 790 mile high-voltage direct-current subsea transmission line from New Jersey to Virginia that would enable 7 gigawatts of offshore wind energy. He received his bachelor’s degree in International Business & Management from Dickinson College. He is based in Washington, D.C.
