Dr. Matthew McKinzie

Senior Director, Data & Policy Analysis, Science Office

Matthew McKinzie directs planning and operations for NRDC's climate and clean energy advocacy in the United States. Since joining NRDC in 1997, he has worked on nuclear policy and the environment and applying geospatial analysis to NRDC's mission. McKinzie holds a PhD in experimental nuclear physics from the University of Pennsylvania, was a postdoctoral associate at Cornell University's Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies, and served an NRDC sabbatical appointment at the Department of Defense on wind energy and military radar systems. He is based in the Washington, D.C., office.
