Sam Krasnow

Sam Krasnow focuses on federal strategies to promote clean energy and address climate change, collaborating with policymakers, power sector companies, industry associations, NGOs, and other key constituencies. Previously, Krasnow worked with Acadia Center (formerly Environment Northeast), as the federal program director and an attorney. There, he architected some of the nation’s leading clean energy and energy efficiency laws and served as a gubernatorial appointee to oversee their implementation. Krasnow also has experience working in the private sector where he led regulatory affairs at an innovative energy analytics company, served as a founding board member of the Northeast Clean Energy Council, and advised Fortune 100 companies while at the Boston Consulting Group. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Oberlin College, a master's in environmental management from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, and a JD from Yale Law School. He is based in NRDC's Washington, D.C., office.
